Well thank you all very much for your wise and kind comments to our football club recieving comments like this does make me feel doing the job is well worth it when earlier in the week I may of forgot why I love being apart of this club.

Starting Sunday lads lets make everyone at the Trades currently and all the people who do care about us as a football team proud, its up to me and Courty to encourge and give you the all we have as managment all you have to do is to owe it to yourselfs, us and the fans that care about you and want the Trades to be sucessful everything you can on the pitch.
We are not going to win every game lads but lets get back to doing our best as a team and enjoy playing for the Trades.

I would like to wish everyone who is currently not at the Trades but is a former player or a friend of the club all the best in what you are currently doing and good luck for the rest of the season, you are all good people and hope to see you all soon.

Thanks for your support
Garry Hale

I think the Trades need some passion and Gaz Hale as got it, he is trades and labour through and through. When i was a trades player if Gaz named me on the bench i respected his decision even though i didnt agree with it sometimes, but he did what he thought was best for the team. I really think he should start considering picking himself to play in the middle of the park on a sunday, because you have hung your boots up well too early!!!!! The trades have some very good players in the squad, your just lacking passion and heart. All the shit that happened in the summer now is over but theres always something happening at the trades, dont fight and argue, get behind each and encourage instaed of getting on each others backs if someone makes a mistake. I read what Martyn wrote and i also still look out for the results and id love to see the trades doing well, but thats not quite happened yet, but its early days so everyone just keep on going and giving 100% every week, because im sure things will get better and the results will come.

Well Said Martyn!!

As a fellow manager i can appreciate the time and effort that goes into trying to sort out games for the lads...people don't realise that its difficult!! There are so many bits and pieces to sort out it's untrue! Not to mention the cost of bits and bobs and the time it takes!

There are a lot of loose ends to tie up every week and it takes its toll, phone calls to fellow managers, refs, league secretaries and fixture people just drain after a while! Then to hear people whining just makes you wanna jack it in!

Ive been to watch quite a few of the Trades games this season (considering ours have been called off) and i will say hand on heart that you have the quality to do well in your league....but the attitude of the players on the pitch has been nothing short of disgraceful! I can name names if anyone wants me to, i really dont care!

Ive played with some of you on occasions and i know the quality that you have, so can't for the life of me think why you look like you don't want to be out there!

You need to respect Gaz's decisions and if you really don't like them, speak to him and either accept it, or find another club, there are 100's of players out there who will gladly give their all! Every person thinks they know what the best team should be, i look at what is on your pitch sometimes and disagree with it, but the decision rests with Gaz, He is the first to admit it when he is wrong!

You've got a good base to work with at Trades, better than ive seen at a lot of clubs...with the right application from the players you will do well.

Anyway, stop with the whining and play football, and show some fucking gratitude to the manager!! I'd have fucked a lot of you off by now...be thankful Gaz is level headed and cool! Wink

Peace Out.

Trades Football Club

Post  Martinhio on Thu 12 Feb 2009, 7:38 pm

To all of the members of the Trades FC.

It is with some dismay, that I read on the forum, that there is unrest in the club. Whilst I am not privvy to the everyday running of the club, I still have a deep affection for the Trades. May I say as a former member of the management I do know that when Gary Hale advises you it is not just about Sundays, he is absolutely correct.

How many of you have been present on a Saturday, trying your hardest in freezing conditions to prepare a waterlogged pitch, so a match can take place the next day.

I can assure you it's not pleasant. It does not stop there though. Monday nights once a month a representative has to attend league meetings. Someone has to correspond with leagues, opponents, official organisations. Maintain all financial matters, which is unbelievably time consuming. Arrange training facilities, which believe me is not as easy as it sounds. Plan sessions to the last degree, and then have to put up with individuals complaining about the content. Take your filthy kit, and wash it, and I bet you players still don't put it the right way round.

You probably can't be bothered, but you are the first to moan if your prized shirt is cold on a sunday. The same players probaly who blame the pitch if they miscue trying the impossible.

Practically everyday there is something football related for the manager to contend with, and no one will let him rest until he gives them the answer that they want him too. If he doesn't then he is the worst manager in the world, and becomes the subject of a whispering campaign.

Gentlemen, let me tell you(for what it is worth) Gary Hale has worked tirelessly for your club. The least you can do is repay him with your support.

Some, or all of you might have your opinions on myself, but however you view me, I have many years of experience, and I know football.

Mr Hale I believe you have all the qualities to become a first class football manager, and indeed have shown that you have the guile to put your personality to the forefront.

I still look forward to the Trades results, (not the best of late), but with all the upheavals it is hardly surprising. The squad that Gary is putting together looks stronger than it ever has, and I am sure that results will turn around soon. I might add at this juncture, that I will continue to be a supporter of the Trades, as I still admire the the players qualities.

I hope everyone involved with the club can pull together and start putting the Trades first, and not be individuals when it suits.
I will still attend Trades matches(should the league stop worrying that a blade of grass becomes disembodied ,and it's not too cold for the referee, or too muddy lest his shiny boot is discoloured) when I have a free Sunday.

So. Come on the Trades. Get behind your manager, and show some determination.
