Re: Sparta DDS V Trades
We didnt take our chances yesterday its as simple as that, even though there was shit linesman decisions we should not of drew that game, yes there player finished well twice butwe shouldnt have lost the ball in the first place to give him them chances. we are all too quiet we need to talk and help each other out its easy to tell somebody they have time or a man on. wen we got the ball down we play some good football, we all know that so why dont we do that all the time? if you are gonna play the long ball hit the corners or somethin dont clear it into the middle of the pitch. im sure everyone yesterday felt like we lost the game cause they are the worst footballing team in the league lol.
we dropped 2 points today that we are gonna need to win back in our harder games so lads we need to grind some results out we have never had consistency and i dont know the answer why maybe we all thought yesterday was gonna be a carnival atmosphere on the pitch and we thought it would be easy, it should of been.
does anybody know who weve got next? its a must win, anyway my leg is fucked but i hope itll be ok if our game is on. and to the management im sorry u gotta put up with people moaning at you its a hard job cause everybody wants to play but only 11 can s0o all you have t do is show commitment and come training and train well ,GH said from th start, selection will be based on training and moaning at him wont get you a game its football at the end of the day if your good enough you will get a game.

Good to be back on the pitch after the long lay off. lets be fair lads. lets take the positives, everyone worked their arses off on a shite pitch but thats what sunday league is about. we made loads of chances and we had a few bits of play where we made some nice 1-2's and through balls. they had about 5 shots all game. on the area's for improvement the pitch is silent and thats something we all have to work on talking and keeping everyone going. its great to see that whereas last season players got on other peoples backs re errors but so far non of that so well done boys. luka you should consider the olympics coz some of that diving today was world class :-)
Re the management. gazza and liam doing an excellent job if ever there was any doubt think back to how the club was run last year......joke springs to mind, certain people charging into dressing rooms e.g mayfly's), swearing at kids on the sideline and talking to players like shite. we've come a long way since then with the hard work of alot of people and on behalf of all the old boys in particular wanna thank you both for turning things around. Sunday league is partly about results but mostly the team and the banter that goes with playing for that team. got a great bunch of lads at the club and we just need to put ourselves in gaz/liams position whereby they have to choose a team of 11 out of 20 odd players, many of which are mates. really tough job. i know its gutting if you turn up after 6 weeks out and not get a game but were only 2 games into the season 20 odd games left and plenty of footy still to play. everyone is gonna get their chance to impress. the only fair way to pick the team today was based on training. we have to keep supporting the boss.
so after all that arse licking im gonna go have a soak in the bath. see you all wednesday lads.

Unlucky Lads, some good things came out of that game from what i saw.
I'm sure a few weeks down the line you will take more of your chances and win comfortably.....
Good Luck.

Sparta game
I don't we should be too disheartened by today's game, it was always going to be difficult after 7 or 8 weeks without playing, and it's not like we had a run of games before that to get settled as a team. This Sparta team is not the same side we beat last time we played, they have also had the chance to play a lot more than us this season, so we need to build on this point and just try to get a bit closer to each other, and improve our understanding.
There was some nice football played at time today, particularly by Rosethorn in my opinion, some of his link up play was great considering the bog he was playing in in the middle of the park, it's little plays and 1-2's that will destroy teams in this league.
As for the frustration of being left out, that must be at extremely high levels after the season we are having, but all you can do is try to earn your place, and show your commitment, otherwise you will just get more frustrated and eventually fall down the pecking order, the management (god bless their souls) just don't need the hassle. I think the management (god bless their souls) are running the club very professionally, I know from experience it's hard to pick and choose between friends so let's just let them get on with things, the season is young and we have much to learn as a group of players. The squad has changed dramatically even since I started training, so nothing is set in stone yet.
By the way, I didn't foul the 'keeper, it was a 50-50 ball and if he is going to throw his face at it instead of his feet then thats his perogative. I have to do what is best for the club in those situations, and show no mercy. Cobra Dojo.

"I have to run the club as a football club not as a kick about"
say no more mate. u shouldnt need to explain yourself after each game just to please people we gotta accept your decision no matter what it is and play to the best of our ability, do our talking on the pitch lads cos we are good enough to beat anyone on our day

After so long without a game what a disappointment it was today. Even though we have not lost the game I do feel we have lost two points today. We cant take nothing away from the home team I feel that they wanted it more then us, even though I feel the commitment was there and nobody on the pitch had a partially bad game we just did not do the basics that I expect off everyone of you.
There was some dodgy decisions but that is not an excuse we will get that all seasons some in our favour, some against us, the pitch was poor in the middle of the park but its the same for both teams and if for the next 10 weeks we can play every week on a pitch in that condition then I would.
Made some decisions about team selection a few of you may have not been playing in your "preferred position" but if you want to play under me for the Trades then you will have to play where I ask and if your not happy then that's your decision good luck elsewhere. The team we put out today was good enough to win this game.
I must admit I am getting fed up of trying my best to keep everyone happy but I obviously cant I am not doing all this to get stick off people who are not playing, there is always going to be someone not happy we are trying to set rules and run the club as properly as possible and for us to be successful I have to run the club as a football club not as a kick about with my so called mates.
I must state this is not a dig at anyone I would like all of you to stay at the club but if your not happy you are more then welcome to a transfer form and I wish you all the best because I don't fancy spending my Sunday morning arguing with people because of a decision I have been thinking about all week.
I really hope today is just a case of lack of proper football because I still believe we are good enough to win the cup and get promoted this season I do feel gutted at the moment but that's only because I the high expectations I have of all of you.
Well done Joe with your debut goals and I thought Rob also a good debut its good to see you both in a Trades shirt. Training Wednesday lads lets look forward and hopefully start getting the results we are capable of.
