Re: Our attitude
Totally 110% agree with Mr Penny
Once again after a great result last week within just over a week we have managed to turn it around and not be talking about us as a football team but our poor attitude !
The way we treated the ref today was totally unacceptable and embrassing it is not our job to question the ref and it will not achieve anything. I feel we are very lucky to be not getting further punishment as a team.
It is one thing the football world is trying to crack down on and they will make an example of some team dont be stupid enough to let it be us please learn from today, it dont make you look hard or clever to call the refs or anyone involved names it just makes yourself, me, Courty and our club look stupid.
I do need to look at how I am going to stop this within the club and I feel the best way is if you are fined yellow or red card as of when the fine comes in you will not play another game for the club until it is paid we can not afford to bail anyone out.
You may say well I not paying it, well if that is the case with that attitude you dont want to play for the club as much as I want to manage this club and you are not welcome anyway and you will not play under me ever again.
This is not a dig at anyone today I just want you to learn from it.
As of Sliggy I feel its a big shame because I feel you was having one of the best games you have played for us this season and you will be missed greatly while you serve your ban.
Please think sensible lads, Lodge park next week lets turn it around again.

Our attitude
Boys today was shocking, that is no way to treat match officials, fair enough he had a bad game, but put yourself in his shoes for a minute. It could just as easily have been the other team that were complaining, but our behaviour was unnacceptable. That is not football, it is a complete waste of time, when have officials ever changed their mind?! Would you even want to do any favours for a team that is abusing you!? The attitude was coming from all over the pitch including the sidelines, if I was manager today I would be so embarrassed. We have now lost one of our players, probably for the rest of the season, and have picked up a huge amount of stupid cards. For anyone that is confused as to how they should deal with decisions, here is a foolproof guide:
1)APOLOGISE. Whether it's your fault or not. (We saw a superb example of this from Tom, good leadership)
2)Shake the players hand, or help him up. (We saw a superb example of this from Me on their striker, neutralises the situation)
3)Either stand on the ball to prevent a quick free kick, or if you are out of position, RUN back to your position, turn and face the ball.
That's it! Nothing else is needed, nor does it help. This is the basic attitude that children are taught when playing junior football, yet apparently we are so good now that we can take the immature approach.
Let's just be nice to one another, yes? Dismissed.
