good luck for the new role court, and i hope we can all work hard for ya. just a quick message to say that i think we should keep the weds on the astro, as well as going on the grass on a friday say when weather permits it, maybe could use wednesdays for a straight game of football, and fridays for just tactical based and fitness based work. what do you think?

Thanks for the introduction boss!!! First and foremost I would like to wish Liam all the best in the future (bluenose). Just like to say I'm delighted to have been given this opportunity to work alongside the gaffer and offer any advice or help in anyway i can. It was a decision that wasn't taken lightly but with the plans Gaz has got in mind, it was an offer I couldn't turn down. My role will be assisting Gaz in training (tactical/fitness etc) and team selection. There are a few things I would like to say, starting with attitude and general atmosphere around the club. The club has gone through a few changes in the past few months and it's been abit of a soap opera in all honesty, but I hope we can put an end to all this crap and just get playing football. I want this club to be welcome and enjoyable to come and play for. Everybody knows there has been the odd bitching here and there and it helps no-one. If anybody has a problem about anything then please speak to me or Gaz, that's what we here for. I feel the club has to have a much more friendlier atmosphere. Training will be a little different once the lighter nights are back and we can deal with the team alot more closely. I'm not interested in just turning up to have a game - you learn nothing from that. There will be tactical awareness and going over the basics - which we have not been doing recently. I do expect people to have the same attitude at training as you do on a sunday. I'm only aking for an hour or two of your time. The things I will be looking out for in training are a good attitude, work ethic, commitment and encouragement (positive critcism). I'm not intereseted in people whingeing over a pass, a tackle, how many players you can skin. I want players to play in the position they want to play in on Sundays(unless asked otherwise) and show me and Gaz why you should be in the eleven. As far as I'm concerned there will be nothing 'clicky' and to just give 100% every session. Every single player are part of the squad for a reason - because we believe you all have certain qualities. Not one player can do it on their own so let's get behind one another(not like that). We have Nags Head Bees on Sunday (weather permitting) and we can all call it a fresh start if you want, so let's give a good account of ourselves for the rest of the season. Up the Trades!!!!!

New Assistant Appointed !!!!!

Post  Garry Hale on Tue 10 Feb 2009, 9:00 pm

I am delighted to announce that I have brought in a new assistant manager.

Steve Court who you all know as a current player at the club has accepted my offer to move away more from the playing side to help me out on the management side of the club.

I have known Courty many years now and he probably has the greatest footballing brain that I have ever known, he is fully aware of what I want to achieve at this club and shares that desire.

Courty will mainly be concentrating on the training side of the club and team selection. The training side is something that I hope to work on alot more its mainly been down to me letting it slip but as you all know its hard to do anything when you just have an hour on the astro. The training plan will hopefully get started properly when we are all back on the grass on the nights and hope me and Courty can work on more pro active football ( i.e. set pieces, fitness, positional disipline ).

Hope you all share my belief in still taking this club forward and will treat Courty with great respect, I promise if you listen to him and take on board what he says we will improve as a team and win trophies.

Trades Army !!!!!
